Reason 1. I'm working in Limerick Prison teaching Arts and Crafts so this is practice for the job.
Reason 2. It's a grim job. Glitter, glue and fancy paper lift my spirits. There is childlike simplicity making cards, which is in stark contrast to the dark stories and lewd comments I hear daily.
Reason 3. I am hooked on Dexter but I don't always find it compelling viewing. It takes approximately one episode to make one card and I can follow the program by listening alone. The narrative and the music usually give the plot away.
